Shell Island Resort, a premier hotel located in North Carolina was restructuring the management of their resort resulting in the need for a General Manager, Director of Sales and Marketing, Facilities Director and Executive Housekeeper – all key positions needed to run a top rated property. In efforts to keep the restructure low-key, the resort name needed to be kept confidential until interviews were conducted. Bessire was able to create an effective “blind” advertising and prescreening strategy that not only attracted qualified candidates, but through added attention was able to keep the candidates engaged and interested in the opportunities at hand until the appointed time the property name could be revealed. Staying in contact with the top candidates was key to the success of this venture.
